Since 1961, Lafarge has actively encouraged employees to hold shares. The intention is for employees to participate in the Group's economic performance. The Group launched its latest employee shareholder plan ("Lafarge in Action") in 2005. 48.8% of employees subscribed to that offer. At the end of 2006, Lafarge employees held 1.74% of the Group's stock and 2.88% of its voting rights. The Group renews this kind of operation every 2 to 3 years in order to increase the number of employee shareholders. |
